Safety-net Enhancement Initiative: New Frequently Asked Questions Section Has Been Posted

The frequently asked questions discussed during the Health Team’s Safety-net Enhancement Initiative pre-proposal information session have been posted.  The webcast and PowerPoint slides also are available online.

Visit the Caring Communities page of the Kresge Web site and scroll down to the section of that page that is devoted to the Safety-net Enhancement Initiative. There you will find a complete description of the initiative as well as links to the frequently asked questions (FAQ), webcast and slides.

The Safety-net Enhancement Initiative is a two-part grant opportunity designed to reduce disparities and improve the health outcomes of low-income children and adults by enhancing collaboration among the agencies and institutions providing health and social supports in their communities. Part 1 of the four-year initiative is a program planning and design phase. Part 2 is a demonstration phase.

The application deadline for Part 1 – the program planning and design phase – is 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on November 16, 2009. Grant award announcements will be made in January 2010.
