Information Updates Are Now Available Through RSS Feeds

Troy, Michigan, May 15, 2009

The Kresge Foundation is making it faster and easier to stay abreast of programmatic developments, news stories and communications from the president by offering RSS feeds on selected sections of the Web site.

Subscribers may sign up to receive notification of new content posted in the News Room, Program Updates, and The President’s Corner sections of the Web site – without having to receive e-mail. To subscribe, visit the RSS Feeds page located in the News Room section of the Web site.

RSS, short for “Really Simple Syndication,” is delivered to subscribers through online feed-reader programs, such as Google Reader or Bloglines, or accessed through Web sites, such as Google.

The advantage of setting up an RSS feed-reader account – or adding one or all three of Kresge’s RSS feed pages to an existing account – is that the online service will constantly search Kresge’s Web site for new content and deliver instant updates.

New subscribers can register with a feed-reader program free of charge and do not have to download or install complicated software. Once an account has been set up, a user can view it at any time, using any computer or mobile device.
