Kathleen Bushnell Owsley
Kathleen Bushnell Owsley manages projects for The Kresge Foundation’s Community Development and Detroit programs.
Before joining Kresge, Kathleen worked as executive director of the One D regional initiative for Southeast Michigan; as vice president of private and public partnerships with the Issue Media Group, a Detroit-based media company; and as vice president of market development for the Detroit Regional Chamber.
Kathleen earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and international commerce from Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo, Mich., and a master’s degree in Irish studies from Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland.
She has served on the boards of several area and national nonprofits. She earned a Certification for Association Executives in 2003; a year later Kathleen received the Michigan Society of Association Executives’ Emerging New Leader Award.
